🚀 Project Manager (Contract) – Professional Services📍 Auckland, New Zealand | Hybrid | Part-Time (3–6 Months)**Join a global SaaS company that has gone through a recent private equity acquisition and entering a major growth and transformation phase!! They are modernising their product, brand, and go-to-market engine.Role OverviewWe’re looking for an experienced Project Manager (Professional Services) to lead the services delivery function on a 3–6 month contract (part-time), with the option to extend or transition into a permanent role.You’ll manage a team of three consultants (plus external contractors) and own the operational performance of all professional services projects—ensuring they are delivered efficiently, profitably, on time, and at a high level of quality.This is a leadership and operations role. You won’t deliver client work yourself—you’ll create the structure, clarity, and discipline that keeps the services engine running smoothly.Key Responsibilities:Project & Resource ManagementOversee end-to-end delivery of all professional services engagements.Ensure projects are properly scoped, scheduled, and resourced (internal & external).Maintain a forward-looking capacity plan to avoid bottlenecks.Drive clarity in timelines, deliverables, and ownership across the team.Commercial & Financial OwnershipOwn project-level financials: margins, utilisation, revenue tracking.Monitor budgets, burn rates, and delivery progress.Manage SOW changes and contract alignment with a commercial mindset.Identify opportunities to improve margin and delivery efficiency.Team Leadership & Delivery ExcellenceLead and coach a team of three consultants.Run standups, prioritisation sessions, and resourcing reviews.Implement lightweight processes, templates, and delivery best practices.Build a positive, accountable, quality-focused team culture.Escalation & Stakeholder ManagementServe as the escalation point for delivery risks and blockers.Partner with Sales, Product, and Engineering for alignment.Provide clear updates to the CEO and leadership team.Build strong, trust-based relationships with clients.What You’ll Bring:5+ years in professional services, project management, or services operationsStrong analytical and commercial skills (utilisation, margins, forecasting)Experience managing multiple concurrent projects and blended teamsProficiency with PM tools (Projectworks, ClickUp, or similar)Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and escalation handlingHighly organised, process-driven, and comfortable bringing structure to ambiguityAble to operate confidently in a fast-changing environmentApply now and we will get in touch!
