This includes understanding the project scope and the environment, schedule and execution plan, as well as managing all activities associated with the inspection, rehabilitation, repair, and replacement of critical plant assets.Main Responsibilities: Prioritizes safety throughout all phases of the project. Have strong understanding of process and engineering design relevant to the facility. Review, fully understand and, if applicable, propose improvement on existing scope of work. Ensures the project is executed with minimal disruption to normal plant operations. Defines and plans work activities, and prepares cost estimates and budgets. Assesses risks and opportunities management of the site project activities in coordination with the Plant Manager. Liaise with plant team and subject matter experts to determine the most effective execution strategy. Organize and obtain multiple quotes to ensure good value for money in quoting the scope of work. Manages the project team, ensuring that personnel understand the project’s structure and organization, share the objectives, and are aware of their roles and responsibilities. Anticipates and addresses specific topics and critical issues with the team. Validates, follows up and actualizes action plans. Actively involved and present at site during the activities. Monitors and controls the project budget and schedule, ensuring alignment with site planning and priorities. Interacts with technical experts to resolve issues and risks. Lead day to day issue resolution and coordinate with the project team to ensure that the documentation is available and updated. Manages project changes and claims management in coordination with the Plant Manager. Manage subcontractors to ensure compliance to contract specification and deadlines. Prepares and issues periodical progress reports and forecasts. Participate in the scoping of future plant initiated projects. QualificationsSkills, Knowledge, and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or other engineering discipline, or equivalent. At least 10 years of experience with waste treatment plants or similar. At least 10 years of experience in project/contract management. Uncompromising commitment to safety and environmental compliance. Highly developed organizational skills. Ability to perform effectively in a dynamic environment. Displays personal maturity and depth, including confidence, adaptability, self-direction, and organizational discipline. Strong team player in a multicultural, multidisciplinary and multilevel environment. Committed to quality environment continuous learning and development. Receptive to feedback and able to incorporate constructive evaluation to drive personal and professional growth. Valid driver's license and safe driving record. Must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check. Competences:Solid understanding of project scope and estimate. Excellent communication skills (verbal, written, presentation). Thinking skills – decision-making ability, long term vision, seasoned judgment. Strong capabilities in data analysis, critical thinking and problem solving. General knowledge of accounting principles, ability to read and understand a P & L statement. Embrace technology, skilled using spreadsheets, email performance tools. Work Environment:Permanent position, offered on a full-time basis, with working schedules from Monday to Friday, day time.
