Job Description

Our client, pharmaceutical company based in Co. Galway, is seeking a Project Manager to lead a Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) project onsite. The role will involve coordinating cross-functional teams and supporting the delivery of the project within a GMP-regulated environment. Responsibilities: Prepare key project deliverables, including schedules, work plans, and equipment cost tracking.Coordinate project activities between internal and external stakeholders.Manage installation, commissioning, and start-up of the Waste Water Treatment Plant.Oversee WWTP construction, equipment integration, utilities tie-ins, and validation readiness.Ensure WWTP design and operation align with environmental, health & safety (EHS) and regulatory compliance requirements.Monitor project costs and progress, tracking process suite team milestones and preparing status updates for stakeholders and project tier meetings.Support cross-functional project teams to ensure stakeholder inputs and requirements are clearly defined and incorporated into deliverables.Liaise with WWTP equipment vendors, engineering partners, regulatory bodies, and SMEs across the wider network to support project delivery.Coordinate FATs/SATs and support commissioning & qualification activities related to the wastewater system.Qualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (B.Sc., M.Sc. or M.Eng.).Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering (e.g., Chemical, Environmental, Mechanical, or Process Engineering).Minimum of 6 years’ engineering or project management experience, preferably with exposure to Wastewater treatment systems (biological, chemical, or physical treatment processes).Utilities/start-up, commissioning, or environmental infrastructure projects.GMP or pharmaceutical manufacturing environments.Strong understanding of environmental regulations, site utilities, and EHS considerations related to wastewater systems.Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a cross-functional team.
