Job Description

Role PurposeThe Public Relations Officer (PRO) is responsible for managing all government-related processes for the company, including visa applications, renewals, labor and immigration tasks, official documentation, medical tests, licensing, and regulatory follow-ups. The PRO ensures full compliance with UAE laws and regulations while maintaining efficient coordination with government authorities. This role requires strong communication skills, accurate reporting, and the ability to maintain well-organized records, provide expert guidance, and deliver timely updates to the HR Department and management.Key ResponsibilitiesGovernment LiaisonServe as the primary point of contact between the company and UAE government authorities.Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant ministries and departments to secure approvals, facilitate inspections, and ensure compliance.Liaise with government offices including MOHRE, Immigration, Tasheel, Amer, Emirates ID Centres, and others.Handle quota requests, attend inspections, and meet inspectors to ensure smooth processes.Prepare and submit all required forms, letters, and documentation to government entities.Represent the company in official government meetings when required. Visa, Immigration Services & RenewalsDeliver efficient and reliable services for all immigration and MOHRE tasks.Manage issuance of new employment visas, work permits, and residence permits for expatriate employees.Oversee visa renewals, cancellations, labour contract processing, and transfers.Handle Emirates ID applications, medical fitness tests, and residency stamping.Coordinate with employees for medical tests, visa submissions, labour applications, and related requirements.Facilitate the renewal and safe collection of expatriates’ passports and maintain an updated tracker.Assist employees with dependent visa-related matters.Stay updated on regulatory amendments and provide timely updates to HR and management. Licenses, Establishment Cards & CertificationsManage applications and renewals of trade licenses, tenancy contracts, and related company documentation.Monitor and renew establishment cards for the company and all associated group entities. Document Management Share required documents promptly via Google Chat groups for quick reference.Organize and upload all new and renewal application documents in Google Drive in a structured manner.Send issued or renewed documents to employees via email professionally and promptly.Maintain accurate and updated trackers for all government-related documents, processes, and PRO activities.Ensure government receipts, approvals, and documents are properly filed and accessible.Prepare weekly and monthly PRO activity reports for management. Communication, Coordination & ComplianceProvide timely updates to HR and management on the status of all government applications and processes. Communicate professionally with employees throughout their visa and onboarding processes.Coordinate internally to obtain required documents and approvals.Ensure full compliance with UAE Labour Law, immigration regulations, and government procedures.Follow company SOPs for documentation, timelines, reporting, and process requirements.Stay updated on regulatory changes and share important legal updates with HR and relevant departments in real time.Monitor Emiratization targets for the company, maintain awareness of the latest requirements, and provide timely updates on progress and compliance actions needed. Medical InsuranceFacilitate medical insurance registration for new joiners.Manage medical insurance cancellations for leavers.Assist with insurance queries or additional matters as required by the HR Manager or Senior HR Executive. Additional ResponsibilitiesAssist employees with ILOE-related processes.Assist with pension (GPSSA) deposits.Assist with Al Ansari deposits.Support HR and management in urgent tasks related to government relations.Assist in any other PRO-related tasks as needed. Execute additional responsibilities assigned by the HR Manager or management to supportRequired Qualifications And SkillsEducation and ExperienceMinimum 2–3 years of UAE PRO / Government Relations experience.Strong knowledge of UAE Labor Law and visa processes.Experience using government systems (MOHRE, ICP, GDRFA, etc.)Skills And CompetenciesExcellent English communication (written and verbal).Strong organizational and reporting skills.Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.Professional behavior with a strong sense of responsibility.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Valid UAE driving license (preferred).
