Position: Pulse TraderLocation: Dubai, UAEKey ResponsibilitiesTrading & Procurement¨ Identify suppliers of pulses (lentils, chickpeas, beans, peas, etc.) from major origins (Canada, Australia, East Africa, India, etc.)¨ Help in negotiating CFR/CIF contracts in line with international prices, manage tenders, and develop long-term supplier relationships.¨ Track global market trends, freight movements, and trade flows to optimize buying and selling positions.Sales & Business Development¨ Build and manage customer base in various geographies¨ Execute export and local sales contracts in line with company pricing and risk policies.¨ Meeting monthly/quarterly/yearly sales targets. Sales should be the focussed area¨ Liaise with buyers, brokers, and logistics teams for smooth shipment and documentation flow.Market Intelligence & Strategy¨ Maintain real-time awareness of pulse crop production, harvest forecasts, price trends, and government policies of source countries¨ Prepare daily/weekly market reports for management decision-making.¨ Identify arbitrage and hedging opportunities across markets. Working knowledge of derivatives is a plus.¨ Make regular visits to market and generate first hand information of latest trends and customer preferences¨ Maintaining healthy relationship with all current and prospective customersRisk Management¨ Monitor currency, freight, and price exposure; ensure trades are aligned with risk parameters.¨ Work with finance for credit limits, LC documentation, and payment terms.Qualifications & Experience¨ Bachelor’s degree in Agribusiness, International Trade- MBA preferred¨ Minimum 5 experience in pulse trading (red lentils, chickpeas, or similar agro commodities) in a reputed organization handing UAE, GCC and other export markets¨ Proven network with exporters, brokers, and buyers in key pulse origins and destinations.¨ Strong understanding of global supply chains, logistics, and trade documentation.¨ Familiarity with trade platforms and working knowledge of drafting contracts as per specific requirements of trade.¨ Excellent negotiation and communication skills; fluent in English (knowledge of Arabic is an added advantage).¨ Self-driven, analytical, and comfortable working in trading environment.Achyutam International is a leading Recruitment Agency for Jobs in Africa, Middle East and Asia, both for Expatriates and for Local professionals.
