Our ambition is to grow significantly, which requires service-focused, engaged, and reliable employees.General Purpose of the JobThe Purchaser will independently execute operational purchasing tasks for defined products/categories, manage suppliers and administer PRs/Pos in SAP. The role includes negotiating contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the required goods and services at the right time, cost, and terms. The Purchaser is responsible for acquiring materials for production and maintenance, spare parts for the service department, and components for customer installation projects.Key Tasks and ResponsibilitiesDemand and SpecificationsAssess and analyse purchasing needs of internal customers.Develop and validate specifications/requirements in line with purchasing policies and guidelines.Supplier Analysis, Reduction, and QuotationsExplore and analyse the supplier market to identify opportunities for supplier reduction.Highlight risks and opportunities to improve procurement efficiency and supplier performance.Contract Negotiation, Management, and MonitoringNegotiate price and contract terms with suppliers to secure favourable agreements.Administer, monitor, and maintain contracts, including SLAs, cost levels, KPI’s, and quality standards.Ensure contract terms are communicated clearly to internal stakeholders.Supplier ManagementAnalyse, classify, and manage supplier relationships, ensuring alignment with purchasing policies and objectives.Address supplier performance issues and implement corrective actions for lead times, costs, and service delivery.Conduct regular reviews to ensure adherence to quality and efficiency goals.Administration and ReportingProvide reports on supplier performance, budget indices, and procurement forecasts.Process purchase orders (POs), stock transport orders (STOs), and purchase requisitions (PRs) in the ERP system.Stock and Delivery MonitoringSupport stock availability and turnover objectives by tracking and managing stock developments.Coordinate internally to address stock concerns, ensuring timely delivery and communication of shortages or delays.Continuous ImprovementDrive continuous improvement in procurement processes, systems, and procedures.Implement innovations and best practices to enhance operational efficiency.Qualifications & ExperienceEducation: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.Experience: 2–5 years of professional experience in procurement, preferably in a manufacturing environment; knowledge of MRP-driven requirements planning.Technical Skills: Affinity for engineering and technical components. Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office applications.Competencies:Proactive, result-driven, and committed to continuous improvement.Strong communicator with the ability to influence and collaborate across diverse stakeholder groups.Skilled in process improvement and achieving high-performance goals.Languages: Excellent command of Dutch and English, both verbal and written.This role is based in our Eindhoven office, with occasional visits to our locations in Heerlen and Born.
