Delivering a guest experience unlike any other paired with lavish amenities, magnificent architecture and refined interiors, Capella Sydney will become the ultimate destination hotel for both local and international guests alike, establishing it as one of the finest hotels in the world.Position SummaryThe Purchasing Manager will oversee the materials department coordinating the successful sourcing and best pricing for the hotel's goods and services, controlling the allocation and flow of inventory items as well as supporting the team's success. You will forge strong relationships and accounts with domestic and international partners.The Role Provide inspirational leadership with a clear vision and direction to team members to ensure delivery of the Capella brand values and vision, to create a highly memorable experience for all guests and colleagues.Establish and implement best practices for sourcing and purchasing.Develop, source, negotiate and administer purchasing agreements and contracts with suppliers in support of the hotel's quality and standard requirements.Coordinate with all departments to facilitate timely placement of purchase orders to manage inventory requirements.Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.To implement all operating and control procedures to ensure that the movement of goods into and within the hotel and associated venues are properly accounted for.Direct continuous improvement of purchasing processes to meet the changing needs and market conditions.Talent ProfileTertiary Education in Business/Management or related.Minimum 3 years experience in a similar role at a luxury hotel/resort.Competent Computing Skills and familiar with procurement, inventory management systems.High level of interpersonal skills and ability to multitask.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Existing working rights in Australia.Working with Capella SydneyJoin a vibrant and nurturing workplace.Work in elegantly designed areas while enjoying amenities in a historic building.Benefit from online LinkedIn training courses aimed at your personal and professional growth.Savour complimentary meals during your shifts.Enjoy discounts for hotels and group bookings.An employee assistance programme (EAP) offering confidential counselling and support.Celebrate your birthday with special leave.Embrace opportunities for growth and advancement within the organisation.
