The Company Solv-X are an expanding importer and distributor of an extensive range of consumer accessories to over 8,000 retailers in Ireland and the UK, with premises outside Newry and Dundalk. Established since 1994, our products portfolio includes our own Solv-X branded range as well as many leading brands including FIFO, BIC, Murphy & Barrett candles, EDGE, Favour, Little Tree, and Pretty Legs.The Role      Purchasing Manager. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Oversee the Procurement Function within the business.Manage relationships with supplier partners.Sourcing new products, developing, and implementing purchasing strategies.Management of supplier relationships and negotiating contracts, prices, timelines.Attend tradeshows and ensure that current range is evolving to meet the demands of expanding Customer base.Determine and manage inventory needs, ensuring that all procured items meet quality standards and specifications.Preparing cost estimates and managing budgetsDrive process improvements around procurement systems and processes. KEY REQUIREMENTS ·        The Successful Candidate should ideally have a Supply Chain or Business Qualification with experience in a procurement role preferably in the retail/distribution sector or fast paced environment.·        Exceptional commercial and financial acumen with an ability to work both independently and as part of a team.·        Solutions focussed with an agile approach and an ability to manage multiple projects and drive deliverables in a deadline driven environment.·        Solid communication skills with an ability to manage stakeholder engagement throughout the business.·        Strong systems experience is essential, Sage experience desirable.·        CIPS qualifications preferable. There is scope for some working from home with an attractive salary and benefits on offer commensurate with experience. If interested in our vacancy, please send your CV to HR@Solv-x.com ref Purchasing Manager.Closing date for applications: 30.11.25    Additional Information:  ·        Who will they need to report to? - MD, ·        WFH or in office?
