With an annual turnover of AED 5.0 billion (USD 1.35 billion), GCC continues to set benchmarks in quality and innovation.Role Description:We are seeking a QA/QC Engineer to support our roads, bridges, and infrastructureprojects. The role focuses on ensuring that all construction activities meet therequired quality standards and comply with local authority regulations, includingDMT, ADM, and TAQA WS. The QA/QC Engineer will play a key role in maintainingquality systems, ensuring compliance with approved specifications, ITPs, and Clientand ADQCC requirements, and supporting the delivery of high-quality infrastructureworks.Key and responsibilities:• QA/QC Documentation & Planning: Developing and updating Project QualityPlans (PQP), Method Statements, and Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).• Site Inspections & Quality Control: Conducting routine site inspections to ensurecompliance with approved drawings and project specifications.• Material Approval & Testing: Reviewing material submittals (concrete, asphalt,steel, pipework, etc.) in line with ASTM, BS, and ADQCC standards, and supervisinglaboratory tests before and during installation.• Non-Conformance Management (NCRs): Identifying, recording, and monitoringnon-conformance issues, and coordinating with construction teams to implementcorrective and preventive actions.• Coordination with Authorities & Consultants: Liaising with the Engineer/Consultantfor inspections, Work Inspection Requests (WIRs), audits, and document approvals.• Documentation Control: Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of inspectionreports, material test results, and certificates for the final project handover dossier.• Compliance & Safety: Ensuring all activities comply with Abu Dhabi safety, quality,and environmental regulations.• Project Handover: Following up on all project documentation through to finalhandover to the relevant authorities.Qualifications & Experience:• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent.• Minimum 10 years of QA/QC experience in roads, infrastructure, and bridgesprojects.• ISO 9001:2015 certification is preferred.• Strong experience and knowledge in conducting internal quality audits.Skills &Competencies:• In-depth understanding of construction processes, methods, materials, and testingprocedures.• Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), including ISO 9001and relevant international standards.• Proven ability to identify defects and non-conformances, and implement correctiveand preventive actions.• Proficiency in QA/QC tools, reporting software, and MS Office.• ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor or similar quality certifications (e.g., ASQ, CQE) isrequired.• Strong analytical skills with the ability to perform root cause analysis andrecommend effective solutions.• Excellent communication skills; English is mandatory, and Arabic is an addedadvantage for team and corporate coordination. Location: Abu DhabiApplication Process:Interested candidates are invited to submit their resume and cover letter, highlightingrelevant experience and qualifications specifically in roads, bridges, andinfrastructure projects, that align with the requirements of the role. You may apply directly through LinkedIn or send your CV and cover letter to Careers@gcc.ae. Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
