Position OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented QA Specialist & Web Developer Contractor to join our team at Market My Market. This dual role is critical to ensuring the quality and functionality of our client websites while also handling content updates, maintenance, and minor development tasks. Our ideal clients are small to medium sized medical offices, dental practices, and law firms.Key ResponsibilitiesWebsite Quality Assurance TestingConduct comprehensive pre-launch QA testing using our established checklist covering Design, Functionality, Content, SEO, and Responsive designPerform comprehensive website reviews including functionality, design consistency, and user experience testingTest websites across multiple devices, browsers, and screen sizes to ensure responsive design complianceExecute thorough functionality testing, including navigation, forms, social media links, and contact details accuracyValidate all website migration requirements and ensure page-to-page consistencyWordPress Development & Content ManagementMake routine content updates including text changes, image replacements, and link updatesUpdate and maintain existing WordPress websites for clientsImplement minor design adjustments and layout changes as requestedAdd new pages, posts, and content sections following established templatesUpdate contact information, hours of operation, and practice detailsTroubleshoot and resolve basic WordPress issuesEnsure all updates maintain design consistency and follow brand guidelinesIssue Documentation and TrackingDocument all identified issues in detailed tracking systems (Issues Backlog spreadsheets)Prioritize issues using established priority levels (High, Medium, Low)Create clear, actionable issue descriptions with specific page URLs and detailed problem descriptionsAssign issues to appropriate team members (DEV, CX, SEO) based on issue typeTrack issue resolution status through completion, maintaining accurate records of all QA activitiesSEO and Technical Quality AssuranceConduct SEO-focused reviews using tools like Screaming Frog to identify technical issuesVerify proper implementation of:Meta descriptions (identify and resolve duplicate meta descriptions)H1 header tags on all pagesTitle tags consistency between staging and live sitesURL structure and internal linkingGoogle Analytics and tracking code implementationRun comprehensive site crawls and compare staging vs. original site dataEnsure proper 301 redirect implementation and functionalityContent and Design Quality ControlReview content for accuracy, consistency, and proper formattingIdentify duplicate images and content issuesVerify proper font sizing and visual hierarchyEnsure design consistency across all pages and templatesCheck for proper image placement and qualityValidate that all content matches approved designs and specificationsRequired Skills And QualificationsTechnical SkillsWordPress Expertise: Advanced proficiency with WordPress CMS, including themes, plugins, and custom configurationsWeb Technologies: Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and basic PHP for WordPress customizationSEO Knowledge: Familiarity with Screaming Frog, Google Search Console, and technical SEO best practicesBrowser Testing:
