VP, Technology Strategy (Order Management)

Job Description:As our new Order Management Strategist, you will report to the SVP of Technology Strategy and partner with diverse teams to design seamless order lifecycle experiences. You will develop expertise in distributed order management, inventory visibility, and fulfillment orchestration. You will work with clients across retail, manufacturing, and distribution to deliver recommendations that transform their order management capabilities.You Will:Provide expertise across order management technology including: Order Management Systems (OMS), Inventory Management, Warehouse Management, Returns/Exchanges, and Fulfillment OrchestrationDesign order lifecycle strategies from cart abandonment through post-delivery customer serviceBuild relationships with supply chain, operations, and customer experience partnersLead discovery sessions to map current state order flows and identify optimization opportunitiesDevelop requirements for real-time inventory visibility across channels and locationsCreate strategies for distributed order management allowing ship-from-store, dropship, and cross-dock fulfillmentDesign customer communication strategies throughout the order lifecyclePartner with CX & C teams on order tracking experiences and self-service capabilitiesLead consulting engagements focused on omnichannel fulfillment transformationDevelop frameworks for returns optimization and reverse logisticsSupport business development as an order management subject matter expertYou Have:8+ years of experience with order management systems OR supply chain technology consultingHands-on experience with OMS platforms from vendors like IBM Sterling, Manhattan, Fluent, or similarUnderstanding of inventory management concepts: available-to-promise, allocation, safety stockExperience with omnichannel fulfillment methods: BOPIS, curbside, ship-from-storeKnowledge of warehouse management systems and fulfillment center operationsExpert proficiency in process mapping and workflow documentation toolsBachelor's degree from an accredited college/universityAbility to travel for clients up to 25%Additional Qualifications:Experience with order orchestration platforms and microservices architecturesKnowledge of returns management systems and reverse logisticsUnderstanding of global trade management and cross-border commerceExperience with EDI and supply chain integration patternsFamiliarity with the latest fulfillment models (dark stores, micro-fulfillment)The annual base salary range for this position is $163,000-$263,350. Placement within the salary range is based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, knowledge, skills, and other factors permitted by law.
