Quality Assurance Engineer

The company is experiencing exponential demand for their products by the world's leading miners. Their products generate and process large amounts of data from sensors, on-board models, and control algorithms in real-time creating real-world machine usage information. As part of the overall digital strategy, this organisation has developed an integrated family of mining machine-based information technology products that interconnect the mining machines to provide real time guidance, tracking, monitoring and supervisory control of the operational mining fleet. The product range links with other mining and business information systems and is an integral part of the organisation's Mining Technology Enabled Solutions vision.Working within an SAFe Product Development Group, you will:Accountable for completeness of testing the user stories as per the acceptance criteriaResponsible for high level estimation of features and user storiesResponsible for test plan and accountable for test cases created by the teamEnsure test process and standards are followed within the teamMaintain code quality by implementing quality checksAssist in test environment setup and creation/maintenance of test data for automationOversees Implementation and execution of regression and acceptance testsResponsible for monitoring and maintaining the daily run automation casesClose interaction with Team Leads, Product Managers and Development & QA team members and communicate effectively with all stakeholdersYou will need to possess the following to be considered for this role:Minimum of 4 years of testing enterprise grade softwareHands-on experience in automation test frameworks, e.g. Cucumber framework, SpecFlow, etcExposure to coding languages such as Java and PythonExposure to Microservices & AWS/Azure cloud testingExperience in writing SQL queries for database and API testingIntegrate into and develop CI/CD pipeline to enable continuous integration and deployment of automation harnessExperience in Agile methodologyExperience in providing test estimation and executing code reviewsStrong software test engineering methodology and process expertiseAbility to identify improvement opportunities and contribute to the overall automation capabilitiesCurrently the module that this role will work on is a mix of manual testing & automated. From now on the engineering manager wants to achieve 80% automation for unit testing and 100% automation for regression testing.The role is based in the Brisbane CBD and requires you to work in the office 5 days per week.
