Based in Brookvale, NSW (on the Northern Beaches), we pride ourselves on promoting health and wellness through exceptional culinary offerings.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time on-site role located in Brookvale, NSW. We are looking for a hands-on Quality Assurance Manager with a passion for Quality and Food Safety, who likes early starts - 6am Monday to Friday. You will lead quality control and assurance processes, ensuring that all food products meet safety standards and regulatory compliance.ResponsibilitiesOversee and maintain the company’s food safety and quality management systems.Investigation and resolution of customer complaints and NCRs regarding food quality and safety.Coordinating the QA/QC verification activities.Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal food safety regulations.Conduct internal audits and manage third-party audits.Train staff on food safety protocols and best practices.Provide technical support and guidance on product safety, labelling, and shelf-life.Develop and update SOPs, and other key documentation.Maintaining and coordinating supplier relationships, specifications and certifications.Managing QA responsibilities in relation to site NPD projects and trials. Demonstrated CapabilitiesTertiary qualification in Food Science.A minimum of 5 years' experience within the Food or Beverage industry.Knowledge and understanding of Australian food regulations.Able to work autonomously, and collaborate well in a team.Experience in performing quality control testing of fresh and frozen products including packaging assessments.Excellent verbal and written skills. With the ability to adapt style for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Experienced in internal auditing, technical investigations and report writing.Demonstrated understanding of ISO standards and HACCP requirements in food processing.
