Test Analyst

Position: Test Analyst Location: Canberra / Sydney / Melbourne Employment Type: 3-Month Contract Security Clearance & Citizenship: Must hold a current or reinstate-able Baseline clearance. Applicants must be Australian citizens and willing to undergo Austrade Pre-Employment Screening (PES) as a condition of employment.Role OverviewThe Test Analyst will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of Windows applications. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining manual test cases to validate platform and application functionality. The successful candidate will work closely with developers, designers, product managers, and content specialists to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.Key Duties and Responsibilities1. Test Strategy and PlanningDevelop and maintain a comprehensive test strategy covering functional and accessibility testing.Define and implement manual test processes aligned with Agile development practices.2. Manual Testing and Quality AssuranceConduct manual and exploratory testing.Validate business requirements to ensure alignment with delivered functionality.3. Test Execution and ReportingExecute test plans and regression suites to ensure high-quality releases.Provide clear and actionable test reports to stakeholders, highlighting risks and quality metrics.4. Collaboration and Continuous ImprovementCollaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance testing practices.Train team members in scripting and executing automated and manual tests as needed.Selection CriteriaEssential:Demonstrated experience in manual testing, including designing, developing, and maintaining test cases.Strong understanding of automated testing tools and frameworks (e.g., Katalon, Selenium, or similar).Hands-on experience using platforms such as Azure DevOps or similar.Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with multi-disciplinary teams.Excellent written and verbal communication skills to engage effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.Ability to explain complex testing concepts and results in a clear and concise manner.Desirable:Familiarity with Government Digital Service Standards.ISTQB tester certification.Eligibility RequirementsCitizenship: Australian citizen.Security Clearance: Must hold and maintain a Baseline security clearance.
