Quality Assurance/Quality Control Engineer

We are seeking an Inspection Engineer who would focus on quality control and latest technology to join our Inspection team. You will be joining STS, a leading group in the global renewable energy sector. With operations in fourteen countries across North America, Europe, and Asia, our team is made up of dedicated professionals who share a passion for technology, quality, and sustainability.Position OverviewAs an Inspector, you will ensure renewable energy equipment, including solar modules, energy storage systems, inverters, etc., meets project requirements by coordinating and conducting pre-dispatch and post-dispatch inspections. This involves overseeing manufacturing and testing processes, verifying on-site conditions, managing a team of inspectors during projects execution, and providing detailed reports and feedback to improve product quality and inspection efficiency while keeping project stakeholders informed of progress and findings.Key ResponsibilitiesUnderstand the inspection plan and checklist content after being trained to the projects requirements.Participate to the project opening meeting to brief the supplier on the scope, inspection rules and schedule.Verify the conditions on site (5M methodology) prior to performing the inspection.Witness the testing progress by analyzing measurement and filling-in the checklist for each item to be inspected.Monitor the testing lead time to ensure the completion within the agreed schedule.Report to the Project Manager the findings observed on site during the inspection.Fill-in the inspection report, based on the format prepared by the Service Engineering team.Suggest ameliorations to the supplier to improve the inspected product and the testing conditions.Propose improvement of the inspection methodology.Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor in a technical field, or above, preferably in renewable energy or a related field.2 years of relevant experience in a technical or quality control role, preferably in the manufacturing, electrical, or renewable energy sectors.Highly proficient in spoken and written English.80+% of time on the inspection site is requested.Can travel abroad.STS – At the Forefront of the Global Renewable Energy IndustryAt STS, we serve as technical advisors, auditors, and inspectors, empowering our clients - including major renewable energy project developers, owners, operators, and IPPs - to make sustainable decisions for every aspect of their projects.
