Job Description

An innovative aerospace technology company developing next-generation communication systems for space and airborne platforms is seeking a Quality Engineer to support its growing production and supplier operations.This organization designs and manufactures high-performance, mission-critical hardware used in demanding environments. The team operates within a structured AS9100-compliant quality management system while maintaining the agility of a scaling technology company.This is a hands-on, cross-functional role ideal for a quality professional who thrives in fast-moving manufacturing environments and enjoys solving complex technical challenges.The RoleAs a Quality Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining and improving the company’s Quality Management System (QMS), driving supplier quality performance, and leading continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing and engineering functions.You will work closely with Supply Chain, Production, and Engineering teams to ensure product integrity, compliance, and operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesEstablish, implement, and maintain QMS procedures and processesResolve internal and external nonconformances using root cause analysis, corrective action, and 8D methodologiesConduct supplier performance evaluations, audits, and metrics reportingInvestigate and manage supplier nonconformances and corrective actionsMaintain and oversee calibration programs, coordinating with internal stakeholders and external providersLead process improvement initiatives to enhance quality, efficiency, and complianceDevelop, monitor, and report on measurable quality objectives and KPIsDeliver QMS training across functional teamsSupport internal and external audits in accordance with AS9100 and ISO requirementsCollaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Engineering teamsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a technical field2+ years of relevant quality engineering experience in a manufacturing environmentExperience with continuous improvement initiativesWorking knowledge of AS9100 or ISO9001 Quality Management SystemsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsHigh attention to detail and process disciplineExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsPreferred ExperienceAerospace, defense, or high-reliability electronics manufacturing experienceLean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt certificationWhy Join?Opportunity to work on mission-critical aerospace hardwareExposure to complex supplier and manufacturing ecosystemsHigh-impact role within a structured yet fast-growing organizationAbility to drive measurable improvements across engineering and operationsSeniority LevelMid-Senior levelIndustryDefense and Space ManufacturingSpace Research and TechnologyEmployment TypeFull-timeJob FunctionsQuality AssuranceSkillsManufacturingQuality Assurance ProcessesQuality SystemQuality EngineeringAerospaceAS9100Management Systems
