Olympic Steel offers employees the best of both worlds: the culture and community of a closely connected team with the resources, opportunity and stability of a large, growing organization.Job DescriptionCommunicates with Corporate Quality Department to develop and implement policies and proceduresCoordinate with divisional departments regarding quality issues and proceduresActs as a training resource to other departments for quality related issuesPresents to customer and vendors as necessaryRespond to and track corrective action responsesInvestigate and resolve root causes of customer claimsCommunicate with millsParticipate in selection of supplies and customersComplete First Article/PPAP submissionsPerform quality auditsDevelop and implement standard operating procedures and work instructions and maintain system documentsConduct capability studies, perform gage studies, and manage inspection equipment of calibration activitiesQualificationsBachelor's degree in a related field required7+ years of related experience, preferably in supervisory role required IATF experience required ISO implementation experience requiredLean Six Sigma Certification requiredKnowledge of basic computer applications, notably Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookKnowledge of steel industry and various productsKnowledge of computerized document controlKnowledge of inventory management and materials productionSkilled in lean manufacturing principles and practicesSkilled in inventory managementSkilled in quality and environmental management systemsSkilled in customer service and communication Why Work For Olympic SteelOlympic Steel offers comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, and vision benefits; paid holidays and vacation; a 401(k) match; tuition reimbursement; and various opportunities to earn cash bonuses.
