Quantity Surveyor (QS)

Role OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join our engineering consultancy in Dubai. The role involves managing all aspects of project cost control, from initial estimates to final accounts, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in cost management within the engineering, construction, or consultancy sectors.⸻Main Responsibilities • Prepare cost estimates, BOQs (Bills of Quantities), and tender documents for engineering and construction projects. • Analyze project drawings, specifications, and requirements to develop accurate cost projections. • Evaluate tenders and quotations from contractors and suppliers. • Manage contract administration, including variations, claims, and interim valuations. • Conduct cost tracking and forecasting throughout project execution. • Prepare progress payment certificates, financial reports, and cash flow statements. • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to provide cost and budget updates. • Review and verify change orders and recommend appropriate adjustments. • Participate in value engineering exercises to optimize project costs. • Assist in preparing final accounts and closeout documentation.⸻Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field. • Minimum 3–7 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably within an engineering consultancy or contracting environment. • Strong knowledge of cost estimation, tendering procedures, and contract management. • Familiar with FIDIC and other standard contract forms.
