With that in mind, we encourage all qualified applicants to apply.Job DescriptionThis position exists to serve priesthood leaders by providing meetinghouses and other facilities for their use to help bring souls unto CHRIST.The position is responsible for providing real estate related professional services, maximizing the value and utility of owned / controlled Church real estate assets and protecting Church real estate interests. Customers include Church related companies and departments. Customers expect that professional services will be provided within industry related and Church established metrics that measure quality, cost and timeliness.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities include the personal execution as well as the management of Church and contract professionals to identify, evaluate, acquire, redeploy, manage, negotiate, lease, close, and otherwise conduct activities related to Church real estate interestsManage projects and professional services providers (corporate services and other disciplines and support processes); prepare/review binding legal documents.Complete real estate transactions as assignedProvide technical real estate advice and services while being a resource for customers and priesthood leadersAnalyze, prepare and deliver executive level presentations for approvalsProject management through reporting, project tracking, and meetings/administrative dutiesReal Estate Manager (REM) will establish the limits of REPM 2 responsibility based on:transaction type, scope, and complexityintermediate required negotiation expertisechurch department or entity/customer (e.g. Missionary, Welfare, FRI, etc.)medium potential impact/riskReports to REM; Work reviewed by REM; Interface with peers in other departments or disciplines. To provide opportunities for individual development, the REM may approve the temporary assignment of selected REPM 3 level responsibilities or tasks, as appropriate. With REM approval, the REPM 2 may mentor or train an REPM 1 or REA.QualificationsRequiredBachelor's degree, or equivalent experience in Real Estate-related fields.Real estate-related Licensing/Certifications (e.g. broker, agent, property title, escrow, attorney, etc.), or equivalent certification in non-U.S. country.Five (5) – seven (7) years of demonstrated expertise in real estate transactions, including site identification and analysis, negotiations, contracts, leases, site evaluations, appraisals, title reports, property closings, portfolio management, and applicable governmental requirements.Computer skills include advanced experience with Microsoft Office SuiteAbout UsChurch employees find joy and satisfaction in using their unique talents and abilities to further the Lord’s work.
