Taste was founded in Toronto, Ontario in 2015.The RoleAs a Recipe Content Creator, you’ll be responsible for developing, styling, and producing original recipe-based content that showcases featured products from our brand partners. This role blends culinary creativity with content production — ideal for someone who loves to experiment in the kitchen, has a strong visual eye, and understands how to create content that performs on social platforms. In this role, you’ll collaborate with our team to brainstorm recipe concepts that best suit project scope — then take the lead on recipe development, cooking, shooting, and editing.Key ResponsibilitiesRecipe Development: Create original, brand-aligned recipes that highlight specific products or ingredients provided by our clients.Content Production: Cook, style, and capture recipes for use across digital platforms (Instagram, TikTok, web, newsletters, etc.).Video Creation: Produce short-form recipe videos optimized for social media, including both step-by-step and final dish shots.Editing: Edit video and photo assets to meet brand guidelines and content specifications.Collaboration: Work closely with our internal creative team to refine recipe ideas, ensure brand alignment, and deliver polished, high-quality assets.Trend Awareness: Stay up to date on local food trends, emerging ingredients, and social media content formats to help inform creative direction.QualificationsProven experience in recipe development and food content creation (portfolio or social media samples required).Strong culinary knowledge and comfort working across a variety of cuisines, ingredients, and dietary preferences.Proficiency in photo and/or video production (camera, lighting, and editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut, or CapCut).Excellent eye for composition, colour, and food styling.Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.Based in Toronto and able to source ingredients locally for brand-specific shoots.Preferred SkillsBackground in culinary arts, food media, or digital content production.Understanding of social media trends, storytelling, and algorithm-friendly formats.Experience creating content for brands or agencies in the food and beverage industry.Access to a car and being able to travel around the GTA are a plus.What We OfferFlexible, project-based freelance work with recurring opportunities.Collaboration with a dynamic creative team and well-known Canadian food and beverage brands.Creative freedom within brand guidelines — your ideas and culinary voice matter here.Competitive per-project compensation based on deliverables and scope.
