Job DescriptionIMPORTANT: Effective immediatelyDEADLINE TO APPLY: Friday, November 21, 2025JOB SUMMARY UNDER THE GENERAL AUTHORITY OF THE DIRECTOR OF STUDENT SERVICES AND THE DIRECT SUPERVISION OF THE SPORTS CENTRE MANAGER, TO ASSIST IN THE PERFORMANCE OF HIS DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES AND ASSUME OTHER SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES AS MAY BE ASSIGNED BY THE SPORTS CENTRE MANAGER.NOTE: THE WORKING SCHEDULE IS MONDAY TO FRIDAY, FROM 3:00 PM TO 11:00 PM.Duties And Responsibilities Coordinate community programs and supervise the night-time Sports Centre operations Distribute and maintain equipment for the day-to-day operation of physical education classes and Sports and Recreation Department activities. Assist the Sports and Recreation Department (as a “responsable de site”) in the implementation of scheduled intercollegiate athletic competitions and recreational activities Assist in the implementation of college activities and special events Assist in the promotion and advertisement of the Sports Centre public operations Responsible for the operation and control of inventory for the service store, suggest sales, recommend purchases Supervise the various physical activity areas to assure a safe environment (weight rooms, pool, dance studio, gymnasiums, Dojo, squash courts, outside fields)NOTE: The incumbent might have to lift weights up to 45 lbs on an occasional basis. Supervise and assist in the set-up and take down of activity areas with student appariteurs Responsible to ensure the facility is properly closed at the end of the day Prepare reports and deposit for night-time operation of the Sports Centre:responsible for cash close at the end of each working daymaintain accurate accounting records for the monies received for the Sports Centreprepare daily, weekly, monthly and year end reports Supervise student personnel Participate in the selection, training and evaluation of student employees Prepare TEPA forms for payroll when required Assist in the booking and rental of the facilities and provide support for external special rental events Responsible for Outdoor Equipment rentals and inventory Coordinate sports centre programs to the public, when required Control the use of squash and racquetball areas Repair and maintain equipment and assist with inventories as required Perform laundry tasks as required Assure the cleanliness of the Sports Centre in collaboration with Facilities Management Services Perform any other related tasks that may be assignedEDUCATION: A diploma of college studies (DEC) in an appropriate specialty or a diploma or an attestation of studies which is recognized as equivalent by the competent authority.Specific Requirements Minimum one-year experience in a similar role, an asset Certified Personal Trainer certification, an asset Experience supervising swimming pool staff, an asset Knowledge of sports and running sporting events Autonomous – able to work with minimal supervision. Ability to relate well to students Customer service mind-set Excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills English (advanced oral, comprehension and written) French (intermediate oral, comprehension and written) Computer skills (Word and Excel)Required Tests:Testing may be required to demonstrate knowledge of: Word (intermediate)Excel (intermediate)English (advanced oral, intermediate comprehension and written)French (intermediate oral, comprehension and written)
