Company DescriptionThe Academy for Innovation in Medicine (AIM) is an innovative STEMM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, and Medicine) middle and high school launching in Fall 2026 to address Atlanta’s critical healthcare workforce shortage. Through a rigorous, career-focused curriculum, AIM will prepare students for high-demand healthcare careers while expanding access to dual enrollment, industry certifications, and clinical experiences. AIM will prepare students for high-demand healthcare careers.Key Facts:Launch Year: 2026-2027Opening Grades: 6th and 9thInitial Enrollment: 260 studentsFull Enrollment by Year 4: 870 students (grades 6-12)POSITION SUMMARYThe Recruitment, Enrollment, and Engagement Specialist is responsible for attracting, enrolling, and retaining students and families who align with the school’s mission and values. This position leads outreach, marketing, and enrollment initiatives to ensure strong community engagement and meets or exceeds enrollment targets each year.The Specialist also designs and implements family communication and engagement strategies that build trust, foster belonging, and support long-term relationships between the school and its community.ESSENTIAL ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIESStudent Recruitment and OutreachDevelops and executes a comprehensive, mission-aligned recruitment plan to achieve annual enrollment goals.Plans and facilitates outreach events such as open houses, information sessions, and community presentations.Represents the school at local fairs, community events, and partner organization meetings.Builds relationships with feeder schools, early learning centers, and community partners.Designs and distributes recruitment materials (flyers, banners, digital content) consistent with the school’s brand and message.Monitors enrollment trends and provides weekly recruitment status updates to leadership.Enrollment ManagementCollaborates with the CEO and leadership team to develop recruitment strategies that directly support the school’s enrollment goals and growth targets.Manages all aspects of the enrollment and registration process from inquiry to student onboarding.Ensures compliance with all state and federal enrollment regulations and charter requirements.Maintains accurate and timely student records using the school’s student information system (SIS).Oversees the lottery process in accordance with Georgia state charter law and the school’s approved policies.Collaborates with the School Leader and front office staff to ensure a seamless onboarding experience for new families.Tracks and reports enrollment data to support funding projections and state submissions.Family and Community EngagementDevelops and implements a family engagement plan that promotes involvement and partnership.Serves as a key liaison between the school and families, ensuring clear, consistent communication.Coordinates family events, volunteer opportunities, and informational sessions.Gathers and analyzes family feedback through surveys and engagement data.Supports development of newsletters, social media posts, and family updates that highlight school activities and successes.Promotes a welcoming and inclusive environment for all families and community stakeholders.Communications and MarketingCollaborates with leadership to align recruitment and engagement messaging with school branding.Manages outreach content for social media, website, and digital platforms.Develops compelling stories and visuals that highlight student achievements and school culture.Tracks engagement analytics to refine outreach and communication strategies.Ensures all materials and communications reflect cultural responsiveness and equity.PROFESSIONAL/PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS The Recruitment, Enrollment, and Engagement Specialist must: Demonstrate enthusiasm for the school’s mission and values.Exhibit exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.Be highly organized, detail-oriented, and results-driven.Work collaboratively across teams and with diverse stakeholders.Show creativity, initiative, and adaptability in dynamic settings.Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and cultural competence.QUALIFICATIONSRequired CredentialsBachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, education, or related field.Minimum of two years of experience in recruitment, marketing, enrollment, or community engagement.Strong writing, presentation, and organizational skills.Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and social media tools.Ability to work evenings and weekends for recruitment events.Preferred CredentialsExperience in K–12 education, preferably in a public charter or nonprofit environment.Experience managing student enrollment databases (SIS) or CRM systems.OTHER REQUIREMENTSValid driver’s license and reliable transportation.Successful completion of background and fingerprinting checks.Availability for occasional evening and weekend events.WORKING CONDITIONS & DEMANDS OF THE JOBMental and Physical Ongoing Demands: Maintain emotional control under stress; work with frequent interruptions/deadlines and prolonged or irregular hours; Frequent walking, standing, stooping, bending, pulling and pushing.
