(Internal employees: Set to your account to internal before applying at https://aisd.schoolspring.com/internaljobsettings)Primary PurposeTo establish and maintain accurate registration records.QualificationsEducation/Certification:High school diploma or GEDQualify for appropriate state paraprofessional certificationSpecial Knowledge/SkillsDemonstrate an interest in and an aptitude for work to be performedStrong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills & attention to detailsSelf-motivated and the ability to work independently without supervisionPleasant telephone personality and effective communications skillsAbility to work cooperatively with all stakeholdersUnderstanding of math and record-keeping proceduresComputer skills requiredGood typing skillsBilingual preferredExperienceNoneMajor Responsibilities and DutiesProgram ManagementRegister all new students and input the students' information into the computer.Maintain student demographic information in the computer and update any changes in a timely manner.Establish and maintain a system to request, send, and track student files.Request records via TREx or by fax if the student is from out of state.Prepare and process withdrawals and secure all supporting documentation i.e. grades and parent letters.Assist parents, students, and personnel with questions regarding student registration.Verify students' addresses when campus mail comes back as undeliverable or is returned.Complete transaction logs and run reports requested by the principal.Policy, Reports, and LawEnsure compliance with all applicable laws, rules and regulations.Compile, maintain, and file all reports, records, and other documents requiredComply with policies established by federal and state law, State Board of Education rule, and the local board policy.OtherMaintain confidentiality.Follow district safety protocols and emergency procedures.Maintain an appropriate level of technology competence to meet the current and future needs of Alief.Implement alternative methods of instruction as needed.Perform other duties as assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesNoneEvaluationPerformance of this job will be evaluated in accordance with provisions of the Board's policy on evaluation of Non-Instructional Paraprofessional Personnel.Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental FactorsTools/Equipment Used: Standard office equipment including computer and peripheralsPosture: Standing, prolonged sitting, occasional kneeling/squatting, bending/stooping, pushing pulling, and twistingMotion: Repetitive hand motions; frequent keyboarding and use of mouse; occasional reaching; may also require climbing stairs and reaching over headLifting: Moderate lifting and carrying (up to 15 pounds); May require occasional heavy lifting and carrying (15-45 pounds)Environment: May work prolonged or irregular hours; frequent district wide travel; all campuses are temperature controlled with hard surface floorsMental Demands: Work with frequent interruptions; maintain emotional control under stressThis document describes the general purpose and responsibilities assigned to this job and is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities and duties that may be assigned or skills that may be required.The full job description for this position is included within this job posting.
