Research and Development Specialist

Assist in designing and conducting experiments to improve and develop new technique/processing methods of approved recipe and processesResponsible for assisting the R&D Manager in designing, and conducting experiments to improve the performance of existing products.Works with Training Department in giving guidelines to stores on equipment operations from testing to documentation, tests, pricing and actual testing. Works with creative R&D (outsourced or internal) in researching current consumer markets and latest technologies to develop new product concepts;Selects raw materials and other ingredients from suppliers for testing and compliance to food safety and product specificationGives recommendation on improvement of product specifications and price after receiving products and indicative from Supply Chain.A degree holder in Food Technology, Nutrition & Dietetics, Chemical Engineering, BS Chemistry or any related courseAt least one (1) year work experience in the same level, in the food industry, (food manufacturing and food service)Preferably Certified in Food Safety, HACCP and FSCOKnowledge in food science and technology principles, sensory evaluation techniques, and creative ability to concretize product concepts and translate them effectively in physical form.Computer proficiency on MS Office programs (Word, Excel and Powerpoint)Cooking skillsTechnical WritingEssential Traits or Competencies : Attention to details, strong organizational skills, Respectable and possesses good moral character, high level of integrity and professional working ethics
