Job Description

Job PurposeAs Reservation Services Duty Controller (NCC) Identify, analyse and evaluate the operational impact on schedule deviations and its revenue and cost implications and arrive at creative solutions and make decisions on a real time basis to minimise the impact on passenger loads and revenue proactively rebooking alternates where appropriate. Contribute to the overall decision making processes at the Network Control Centre (NCC) by devising and implementing processes to identify operational constraints and address Reservation issues and concerns. Assist the Reservations Services Duty Controller in managing the day-to-day activities on 24/7 shift basis.In This Role, You WillCreate and manage the master operating plan of passenger flights in the MARS Reservations and Operational Systems and ensure the interface of such schedules with other e-trading platforms and interline partners via GDS and EOL etc.Analyse the critical connections and the connecting and turn around times through the Dubai hub and the mini hubs at the outstations based on the operating plan of passenger flights. Identify possible operational constraints within the network and proactivitely plan an make recommendations to the various representatives at the NCC to ensure minimal disruptions to passengers, proactively rebooking alternates where appropriate.Devise and implement processes and procedures to identify operational constraints. Liaise with Airport Services, YM, Engineering, Planning, Operations, IFS, etc. to ensure they implement all processes and are fully briefed and geared to pay special attention to handle all deviations to the planned operations.Ascertain adverse weather forecasts across the network and other operational limitations and constraints, which could result in passenger restrictions and establish the severity of such penalties and its impact on the operations and update the Duty Controller to initiate further action plans.Establish aircraft tail numbers/registrations scheduled on various routes and identify the routes where the deployment of certain aircrafts could have detrimental effect on passenger loads. Recommend changes to YM, Engineering, Planning, Flight Operations, etc, to re-deploy such aircrafts to gain additional payloads thus enhancing the revenue loads and to maintain consistent and quality services standards.Initiate investigatins and prepare reports for senior management on issues pertaining to flight operational anomalies identified by flight operations, voyage reports etc. where Res. Svcs. was involved in such irregularities,. Provide quality data on loads forecasted network-wide to the Res. Svcs. and YM teams and improve communication between outstations and DXB and thus reduce the risk of incorrect information which could have a direct impact on the safety of the aircraft and on-time departures.Support the Duty Controller Reservation Services and outstations on the day-today functioning of the shift. Evaluate and arrive at creative and cost effective service recovery actions during major disruptions in the planned operations either due to schedule disruptions, 'systems' failures, hub congestion, peformance failures, strikes, natural calamities, etc.Offer strategic evaluations to the future growing requirement of the Service Delivery cycle and products to be incorporated to the EK Network. Ensures the execution of such strategies and manage projects that result from these evaluations. Evaluates, recommends and implements improvements to all operational, business and administrative systems and processes within the schedules, services and support areas and related systems. Optimises effectiveness in terms of manpower planning and maximum automation in order to improve servie levels for the benefit of all end users in both NCC and Res Svcs offices.Represent Res Svcs at the FDCC (Flight Disruption Control Centre) as and when FDCC is activated for any contingency operation i.e. major schedule disruptions, diversion, incidents, accidents and contribute to the decision making process at the FDCC.QualificationTo be considered for this role, you must meet the below requirements:Bachelor’s degree (12+3 or equivalent) with over 5 years of experience in Commercial Sales, Reservations, and Ticketing.Wide knowledge of the airline industry. Must be very well versed with airline procedures and AIRIMP. Detailed knowledge of Automated Reservations System together with policies and procedures. Working knowledge of Airport procedures including both manual and automated check-in.Computer literate in MS office.
