Job Title: Safety ManagerJob SummaryThe Safety Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring safety policies and procedures to ensure the safe operation of the company’s transportation activities. The role focuses on minimizing risks, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and promoting a strong safety culture across all fleet and driver operations.Key ResponsibilitiesDevelop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs for transportation and fleet operations.Monitor daily fleet activities to ensure compliance with safety standards and legal requirements.Conduct regular inspections of vehicles, equipment, and operational sites to identify and eliminate potential safety hazards.Lead accident investigations and prepare detailed reports with corrective and preventive action plans.Train drivers and staff on safe driving practices, emergency procedures, and company safety rules.Maintain and update safety training records, incident logs, and compliance documentation.Coordinate with government authorities regarding safety regulations, inspections, and certifications.Implement and monitor driver performance systems (GPS/Telematics) to ensure adherence to safety protocols.Promote a continuous safety culture by organizing awareness campaigns, toolbox talks, and safety meetings.Ensure compliance with local transportation safety regulations and company policies.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Transportation Management, or related field.3–7 years of experience in safety management within the transportation or logistics sector.Strong knowledge of transportation safety regulations and fleet safety standards.Experience in accident investigation, risk assessment, and implementing corrective measures.Strong communication, leadership, and training skills.Proficiency in MS Office; experience with fleet management systems is a plus.Safety certifications (NEBOSH, OSHA, IOSH) are preferred.
