Job Description

OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented Safety Officer to oversee fleet safety and ensure full compliance with DOT/FMCSA regulations.RequirementsMinimum 6 months of experience in trucking safety, dispatch, or complianceMust have experience working in a US-based trucking company in a similar roleC2 English proficiencyStrong knowledge of ELD systems (Samsara, Motive, Omnitracs, etc.)Solid understanding of DOT/FMCSA regulationsStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExperience with IFTA and permits is a major plusAmenable to work with a tracker during work hoursKey ResponsibilitiesMonitor ELD compliance (HOS, violations, log accuracy)Oversee safety for trucks, chassis, and box trucksConduct driver onboarding, training, and safety briefingsMaintain and audit Driver Qualification Files (DQF)Track inspections, maintenance schedules, and repair statusInvestigate accidents, incidents, and violationsPrepare weekly and monthly safety reportsCommunicate with drivers to correct and prevent safety issuesAdditional Responsibilities (higher pay up to $1,500)IFTA filings and fuel tax reportingOversize/overweight permits, trip permits, and IRP tasksDrug-testing complianceHAZMAT complianceState-specific regulatory management
