Within Fender Musical Instruments Corporation’s ("FMIC") China sales team, we will introduce the best and latest FMIC products to China distributor and its clients and customers.An American icon, Fender was born in Southern California and has built a worldwide influence extending beyond the studio and the stage. A Fender is more than an instrument, it’s a cultural symbol that resonates globally.We are searching for a Sales Director based in Shanghai, to contribute on driving sales strategy for the market of China, Hong Kong and Taiwan to maximize business opportunities.Essential FunctionsDevelop and understand the sales strategy with China team to fulfill the overall business strategy for the region. Develop sales plans to achieve company’s objectives of annual business plan, timelines and budget, including forecasting and sales analysis.Maintain effective account and credit management for distributors in greater China area by regular travels, calls and emailsManage the end-to-end relationship between greater China distributors and all internal departments liaising with and owing the relationship and communications.Work with greater China distributors to place future dated orders to secure products/sales and provide accurate sales forecast.Monitor and assist greater China distributors on sales promotions and rebate schemes, ensuring terms and conditions are adhered to.Maintain control of greater China distributors inventory ensuring correct stock levels are maintained, new products are presented and exit strategies for discontinued products implemented.Develop direct relationship with mainland China dealers to get first hand feedbacks on business, products, market trends & consumer feedbacks.Develop the workflow and communication strategies with marketing team, e-commerce team and greater China distributors to align on brand message, look&feel and overall strategy of Fender.Exploit opportunities to bring new players into the existing market to build the long-term business pipeline in the greater China region.Establish and generate sales reporting and analytics on weekly/monthly/quarterly base.QualificationsBachelor’s degree, major in Business, Sales or related field is preferred;7+ years’ experience in related field with a successful and proven track record; experience in Musical Instruments and DAW/Pro Audio industry is preferred.Strong understanding of Fender Brand and Guitar community; Playing guitar or bass is preferred;Ability to present with confidence to Senior Management, staff, business partner and clients.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain working relationships.Ability to be a self-starter and problem solver with ROI analysis and consensus building among stakeholdersStrive for improved business environment using prioritizing skills backed up by dataExceptional business acumen with strong instinct for growth opportunities using matrix-form analysis and ability to come up with optionsMulti-lingual (English highly desired), comfortable working within an International organization and able to influence for positive outcomesExperience of business start-ups or general management backgroundProficient in Microsoft Office.About Fender Musical InstrumentsFender Musical Instruments Corporation (FMIC) is one of the world’s leading musical instrument manufacturers, marketers and distributors, whose portfolio of brands includes Fender®, Squier®, Presonus®, Gretsch®, Jackson®, EVH®, Charvel®, Bigsby®, and Groove Tubes®, among others.
