Join Roche, where every voice matters.The PositionPrimary Purpose Of Job (Job Summary)Roche is hiring for a greenfield facility in Shanghai and we are looking for Dynamic leaders who can establish operations, collaborate closely with the project team to execute this strategic initiative—including facility design, qualification, manufacturing readiness and start-up—and oversee daily operations to ensure long-term success, whilst also displaying strong people leadership skills to build and grow new teams.The Warehouse Manager is responsible for achieving warehouse management goals and providing leadership and oversight to all routine operational and administrative activities which occur within the warehouse process steps i.e. the receipt, storage, sampling and shipment of raw materials, packaging materials, DS, intermediate products and finished goods. Ensuring all the activities are executed safely and timely in full compliance and consistency with GMP/ SHE requirements and Roche’s corporate principles, quality policies and standards.Enable and empower the team to achieve site vision by leveraging creative leadership competencies and exemplifying the Leadership CommitmentsPlay a critical part in strategic project realization including warehouse design, qualification and operational readiness and start-upKey interface with Manufacturing, Quality, F&E, MSAT to ensure smooth production and efficient running and drive consistency among the different teams. Manage the performance and development team members to achieve organizational goals and employee personal and professional growthBuild a strong pipeline of talent and robust succession plans for key positionsMaintain a culture of continuous improvement and model lean leadership principlesMaintain a culture of transparent, high performance, empowerment and innovation cultureTechnicalEngineering Project Support and Operation Readiness:Participate in new warehouse design and construction, including but not limited to process design, equipment/facility selection, URS review, FAT, SAT, IOPQ etc. to contribute on project delivery. As a key role to establish an effective operation system in alignment with Roche’s standards, including warehouse management system, people training and qualification system. Assist the Head of Material Management to set up the team and people hiring schedule to build a competitive team that meets the project and production ramp up planEnsure team's competencies in performing the following tasks: receipt, storage, sampling and shipment of all materials and productsRepresent the warehouse during regulatory inspections and audits and participate in the response of regulator audit and global quality auditRoutine Operation:Ensure routine warehouse operations in compliance with Roche’s GMP/SHE and regulation requirementsEnsure total readiness of warehouse areas, including housekeeping, equipment/facility, documents and other resources to ensure product delivery in time and within budgetOversight of Chemical & Dangerous WH, Waste HandlingLead to execute annual operators’ qualification, provide on-the-job training to support GMP trainingProactively anticipate, evaluate and resolve technical challenges and enable innovationInvolve in the deviation investigation, including appropriate escalation where needed, to ensure the closure of deviation within the set timelineRaise change control and provide assessmentsParticipate in Operational Excellence and Continuous Improvement initiativesEducation/QualificationsQualification and Experience Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics or related field and above(Pharmaceutical / Biological is preferred) Qualification of Dangerous and Chemical ManagementJob Required Competencies10 or more years of experience in a warehouse or logistics role within the pharmaceutical or a similarly regulated industry, MNC Bio-pharma preferred5 or more years of people management experience Experienced in new warehouse startup readiness and operation ramp up including organization, people and operation management systemStrong knowledge of cGMP and regulations relevant to the pharmaceutical industry, especially in the biological industryAble to think strategically and translate strategies into actionable plans, understand and apply agile ways of workingFluent communication skills in English and the ability to effectively communicate, collaborate, and foster positive interactions with team members and stakeholdersWho we areA healthier future drives us to innovate.
