Job Description

GeoKrishi Pvt. Ltd. is looking for a driven and field-oriented Sales Manager – Agri Inputs to lead sales growth across its agri-input business. This role is ideal for someone who understands rural markets, farmer engagement, retailer networks, and demand generation, and who can translate leads into sales while managing field teams and delivery coordination. The position is based on the scope and responsibilities outlined in the ToR.Role OverviewThe Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth by managing the end-to-end sales funnel, converting marketing leads into completed transactions, and improving sales process efficiency. The role also involves guiding and motivating GeoKrishi Field Agents, expanding customer networks, coordinating fulfillment, and strengthening relationships with retailers, suppliers, cooperatives, and farmer groups.Key ResponsibilitiesSales and Business GrowthDrive sales of agri-input products including seeds, fertilizers, pesticides, tools, machinery, and bundled kitsIdentify, onboard, and activate farmers, cooperatives, farmer groups, retailers, and local partnersPlan and execute weekly and monthly sales campaigns across online and offline channelsWork closely with the marketing team on field events, demos, and digital promotionsAchieve and exceed monthly sales targetsTeam LeadershipCoordinate, coach, motivate, and monitor GeoKrishi Field Agents across clustersTrack sales pipeline performance and identify conversion bottlenecksBuild a proactive, target-driven sales culture in field operationsOrder Management and FulfillmentOversee order collection and registration through GeoKrishi’s platform and social media channelsEnsure smooth coordination across the order workflow from customer to GeoKrishi Center, warehouse, and deliveryMonitor stock status, delivery timelines, and order accuracy with warehouse hubs and logistics teamsResolve delivery delays, product mismatches, and customer service issues quicklyStakeholder and Partner ManagementMaintain strong working relationships with farmers, retailers, GeoKrishi Centers, suppliers, wholesalers, cooperatives, and logistics partnersConduct regular follow-ups to improve customer retention and repeat purchasesMarket Intelligence and ReportingGather and report field insights on pricing, competitor activity, seasonal demand, and farmer needsRecommend new products and bundled offers based on market demandPrepare weekly and monthly reports on leads, orders, conversions, onboarding, and sales performanceUse GeoKrishi’s digital tools, CRM systems, mobile apps, and communication platforms for reporting and coordinationRequirementsEducationBachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Agriculture, or a related fieldMBA, BBA/BBS, or Agriculture background will be an advantageExperienceAt least 2 years of experience in agri-input sales, FMCG sales, rural distribution, or related field sales rolesExperience working with dealer networks, agri-retail channels, or digital agriculture platforms is preferredSkills and CompetenciesStrong understanding of agricultural inputs and cropping systemsFamiliarity with MS Excel, CRM tools, mobile apps, WhatsApp, and Meta Business toolsStrong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skillsAbility to work independently and travel frequentlyCustomer-focused, solution-oriented, and highly organizedWhat We’re Looking ForWe are looking for someone who is commercially sharp, comfortable in the field, and passionate about improving farmer access to quality agricultural products.
