Its combined hotel portfolio consists of over 50 hotels in 23 countries with more than 32 new properties currently under development.ABOUT OUR DEPARTMENT / TEAMThe sales and marketing team is the external representation of the hotel, serving as a bridge between the potential clients and the operations. The ultimate goal is to convert the potential into revenue for the entire property.Sales and marketing is made of four areas working closely together: communications, sales (general), event sales and room reservations. The team is led by the director of sales and marketing. THE IMPACT OF THIS ROLE Generates revenue for all areas of the hotel and ensures continued employment of operations team.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES1. Sales & Business Development Actively source and develop new local and international corporate accounts. Maintain and grow existing top accounts (Top 30) with strategic business plans. Conduct sales calls, client visits, entertainment, and site inspections to generate business. Negotiate rates, room blocks, and event proposals aligned with hotel strategy. Participate in sales blitzes, trade shows, and promotional activities. Keep updated on market trends, competitor activities, and client buying behavior. 2. Meetings & ReportingAttend regular sales, operations, and review meetings. Submit weekly call plans, monthly sales reports, and action plans via Sales Force. Update client interactions and account activities within 48 hours. 3. AdministrationRespond to enquiries promptly (within 6 hours for local, 24 hours for international). Maintain accurate records and client data in Sales Force. Prepare professional correspondence, rate letters, and event documents. Assist with annual business plan preparation and data analysis. 4. Coordination & CommunicationWork closely with Sales, Events, and other hotel departments to ensure smooth operations. Share client details, requirements, and updates across teams in a timely manner. Provide guidance and feedback to junior sales associate. Maintain quality communication with corporate clients, RFP accounts, and partners. 5. Representation & Periodic DutiesAttend hotel-hosted functions, trade shows, and promotional events. Conduct overseas sales trips when required. Contribute ideas to improve sales effectiveness and client service. 6. Professional Standards Uphold hotel’s professional image and confidentiality at all times. Maintain grooming standards, workplace cleanliness, and adherence to policies. Under the guidance and supervision of the DOS, to be responsible for the general discipline and conduct of all associate in the department.CRITICAL SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONSStrong written and spoken English.Proven sales experience in hospitality or corporate environment.Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.Organized, proactive, and able to manage multiple tasks under pressure.High integrity, professionalism, and adaptability to diverse cultures.Team-oriented with leadership potential.Flexible to work long or irregular hours, including weekends and holidays.
