We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented professional to join our commercial team.Role SummaryWe are hiring a Sales Support Executive based in Colombo, Sri Lanka, to provide essential back-office support to our Sales Team. This role is crucial for ensuring smooth operations and rapid response to client inquiries, focusing heavily on coordination and communication within a fast-paced freight forwarding environment.Key ResponsibilitiesInbound Communication Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for inbound calls and emails from existing and potential clients, channeling inquiries efficiently to the appropriate sales executive or department.Sales Coordination: Act as a critical link between the Sales Team, Operations, and clients, ensuring seamless information flow and follow-up on outstanding requests.Administrative Support: Assist the sales team with back-office documentation, data entry, CRM updates, and preparing necessary reports.Quotation Support: Assist in compiling and verifying information required for accurate quotations and proposals.Customer Service: Handle general customer queries professionally, providing status updates on shipments, and resolving minor issues under the guidance of the Sales Manager.RequirementsDemonstrable knowledge of the Freight Forwarding industry is preferred.Related Experience will be an advantage, but we also welcome applications from highly motivated freshers who are currently studying for a Degree or a professional certificate course in Freight Forwarding, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.Language Proficiency:Fluency (verbal and written) in English and Sinhala preferred.Knowledge of Tamil will be an advantage, as it is advantageous for communication with various stakeholders.Skills:Exceptional telephone etiquette and the ability to handle multiple calls professionally.Strong organizational skills and an acute attention to detail.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
