Job DetailsDescriptionPOSITION SUMMARYThe primary responsibility of the Ophthalmic Scribe is to support the physician in the clinical setting by enhancing efficiency and productivity. The ideal candidate will anticipate physician needs, communicate effectively with both patients and staff, and multitask seamlessly to ensure smooth clinic operations.What We OfferStarting wage based on experience6.5 paid holidays per yearApproximately 10 days of PTO in the first yearComprehensive benefits package including health, dental, vision, and 401(k)Opportunities for growth and wage increases through a company-paid certification programEssential ResponsibilitiesAccurately and thoroughly document ophthalmic exams and procedures as performed by the physicianRecord appropriate diagnoses, symptoms, prescriptions, and follow-up instructions as directed by the physicianProvide patients and/or family members with self-care and follow-up instructions as communicated by the physicianCoordinate patient scheduling and maintain clinic flow, clearly communicating any delaysPerform additional duties as assigned by the department manager, facility administrator, or physician(s)Education And ExperienceHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredPrevious experience as an ophthalmic scribe or technician preferredExperience with electronic medical records (EMR) preferredPHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT (per ADA guidelines)Physical Activity: Standing for extended periods, talking, and hearingPhysical Requirements: Primarily sedentary work, involving sitting most of the timeVisual Requirements: Close visual acuity required to perform tasks accurately
