We’re seeking a journalist who can tell the stories that Canada’s business community needs: stories about leadership, strategy, and the people shaping the future of enterprise. We work with CEOs and business leaders across Canada who shape companies, communities, and industries, and we’re ready to share more of their stories and insights with the world.That’s where you come in.We’re seeking a freelance business journalist with demonstrated experience writing for top Canadian business outlets, including The Globe and Mail, Financial Post, Report on Business, BNN Bloomberg, and others. Someone who knows how to turn innovative thinking into compelling stories and how to get those stories placed where Canada’s decision-makers will actually read them.What You’ll DoWrite thought-leadership articles (800–1,200 words) and press releases that showcase Sterling’s authentic, executive-level voice.Identify the storylines that connect Sterling’s leadership insights with current business and economic themes.Pitch and secure publication in leading Canadian business outlets.Collaborate directly with Sterling’s leadership team to refine content that is intelligent, relevant, and focused.What We’re Looking ForPublished bylines in reputable national business outlets (please include links). At least 10 years of professional writing or editorial experience, preferably in business, finance, or leadership journalism. A strong understanding of what editors value and how to craft a story that aligns with their agenda. Clear, confident writing for a senior executive audience.
