Section Head - Quality, Linen Yarn

Job PurposeTo plan, lead and control all the activities related to quality assurance & testing in the entire process flow from raw material sourcing to product and to implement and improvise the existing quality standards and systems in order to sustain the position as a market leader in linen yarn business.Job Context & Major ChallengesIt is a niche market and given the availability of limited number of research studies, our expertise is built only from our own experience.Lack of supporting technology that can help in advanced testingConsidering the current competitive market, customer support is critical. Year on year variability in raw material quality and grade owing to climatic conditionsKey Result AreasKey Result Areas Supporting ActionsTesting of RM and productOversee testing of incoming raw materialLead a team of quality inspectors and supervisors in conducting regular testing.Ensuring the testing of product as customer’s standard.Control over non-conforming goods to dispatch to the customerIn-process Quality AssuranceDevelop, implement, and monitor in-process quality control systems across all stages of linen spinning to ensure product consistency and compliance with standards.Analyze quality trends and work collaboratively with team production. Analyze in-process quality data, generate reports, and present findings for continual improvement initiatives.Customer centric Quality Management SystemImplement and maintain adaptation of Quality norms and IMS StandardsPerform Root cause analysis to all the quality and reliability related complaints arising from both internal and external customers throughout the process flowPeople DevelopmentIdentifying training needs of team members and work with HR for scheduling development activitiesMentoring and coaching team members to prepare them for taking independent charge
