Together, these businesses provide industry-leading ways to serve customers around the world.Job DescriptionRole purpose: To support Chief Accountant in various accounting, reporting and compliance activities to ensure conformity with local statutory and Syngenta corporate requirements.Role ResponsibilitiesBooks accounting documents and works effectively with Syngenta ERP systemPerforms reconciliation of assets and Fixed Assets RegisterSupports indirect procurement processProcesses accounts payable documentation and bank statements, including preparation of payment proposals via online banking systemUpdates and maintains general ledger including reconciliations, accounts payable, cost accounting and cost allocationsSupports monthly closing processContributes to monthly/yearly tax reporting obligationsPrepares monthly and quarterly reports for Bulgarian National Bank (BNB) and National Statistical Institute (NSI)QualificationsRequired knowledge & technical capabilitiesBachelor's degree in Auditing/Accounting/Finance/Economics.Fluent in English language (written and spoken).Good Knowledge of the SAP, Concur, Ariba systems.Experience in SOX compliance.Good knowledge of local and international financial and accounting standards.Good knowledge of tax legislation and other applicable legislation.Critical SkillsStrong analytical skills.Ability to evaluate process importance and related risks.Ability to communicate and explain reasoning across all organizational levels.Organization skills and attention to deadlines.Behaviours, Critical Capabilities For The RoleAbility to overcome challenges to perform timely and accurate corporate and statutory reporting.Evaluation of internal controls, design of test programs and evaluation of test results.Be compliant with Finance target operating model (TOM).Understanding business activities, people behaviour, process flows and risk.Follow up planned activities and remedial actions.Communication with process owners, Region and countries.
