Outstaffer Talent Pooling: AccountantAbout the RoleWe are pooling detail-oriented and experienced General Accountants to manage day-to-day accounting operations, financial reporting, and compliance requirements. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in general accounting principles and experience working with multinational or cross-border operations.You’ll play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, and supporting both internal and external audits.Key Responsibilities1. General Accounting & ReportingMaintain accurate general ledger and ensure all transactions are recorded properly.Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules.Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial statements.Generate balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow reports.2. Accounts Payable & ReceivableProcess vendor invoices, employee reimbursements, and payments.Maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable and ensure timely settlements.Reconcile bank statements, supplier accounts, and customer accounts.Manage invoice disputes and follow-ups with vendors or clients.3. Taxation & ComplianceSupport preparation and filing of statutory tax returns and compliance reports in accordance with local regulations.Coordinate with external accountants or auditors to ensure compliance with applicable tax and reporting standards.Maintain accurate and organized documentation for regulatory or audit requirements.Stay updated with changes in accounting and taxation laws relevant to the organization’s operations.4. Financial Analysis & Budget SupportAssist in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis.Monitor and report on financial performance, identifying areas for improvement.Support management in decision-making through accurate financial insights and analysis.5. Internal Controls & Process ImprovementMaintain and enhance internal controls over financial transactions and reporting.Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency and accuracy.Support compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and accounting standards.Assist with audit preparation and respond to auditor inquiries.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent certification preferred.3+ years of experience in general accounting or financial reporting.Strong understanding of GAAP or IFRS accounting principles.Experience with accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB, SAP, or NetSuite).Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets for reporting and analysis.Skills & CompetenciesExcellent attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.Solid understanding of reconciliation, accruals, and financial controls.Strong organizational and time management skills.Effective communication and collaboration across teams and departments.Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.Commitment to accuracy, integrity, and confidentiality.Nice-to-HaveExposure to multi-entity or multi-currency accounting.Experience in regional or international accounting environments (AU, US, APAC, or EU)Knowledge of payroll accounting and related compliance.Familiarity with ERP systems or financial automation tools.Work SetupEmployment Type: Full-timeWork Arrangement: RemoteSchedule: Standard office hours, M-FLocation: Candidates in Philippines and Australia only
