Financial Controller

We are looking for a Financial Controller to oversee and manage end-to-end financial operations. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate reporting, strong internal controls, and full compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.ResponsibilitiesOversee and handle end-to-end financial operations, including day-to-day accounting activities such as accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger management, and monthly reporting, as well as the preparation of accurate and timely financial reports -monthly, quarterly, and annual - in compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, local GAAP).Prepare and present financial reports and analyses to senior management and stakeholders, providing actionable insights for decision-making.Prepare financial statements to meet local GAAP requirements.Prepare financial data for regulatory submissions (e.g., regulatory bodies in each jurisdiction).Lead audit preparation, coordinating with external auditors and all stakeholders, ensuring all required documentation and processes are in place.Enhance finance and accounting control processes to ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.Monitor cash flow and optimize capital efficiency.Lead annual audits with approved auditing firms.Manage regulatory compliance reporting and support on-site inspections.Key QualificationsMore than 8 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting, with a strong background in financial reporting and experience in payment or fintech companies.Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Professional certifications (preferred): ACCA, CPA, ICAEW, or equivalent.Experience with financial closing processes and business strategy support.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP platforms).Deep understanding of financial regulations, accounting standards (IFRS & Philippine GAAP), and tax compliance requirements.Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and present complex information in a clear and actionable manner.Strong verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to communicate financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders. Proficiency in Chinese is a plus.
