Senior Accountant, SG&A

Who You Will Work WithYou’ll join the Global Controlling organization and report directly to the Global SG&A Accounting Director. As a Senior Accountant on the Global SG&A Accounting team, you’ll play a key role in executing critical monthly and quarterly close activities. This role is highly collaborative where you’ll work cross-functionally with teams across operations, finance, procurement, and legal to ensure accuracy and timeliness in SG&A reporting. In addition, you’ll partner with Finance Governance & Controls to design and implement best practices that strengthen compliance and optimize processes within the SG&A space. Will accept any suitable combination of education, experience and trainingCertified Public Accountant (CPA) or equivalent strongly preferredMinimum 3 years of work experience in public accounting, corporate accounting technical accounting or operational excellence, within a large, complex, multinational corporation and/or Public Accounting firmUnderstanding and experience with US GAAP and internal controls over financial reportingProficiency with SAP ERP, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and SharePoint systems is a plusProven ability to develop collaborative relationships across teams, functions, and layers, preferably within a large complex corporationComfortable working in ambiguous environments and managing multiple, competing priorities and requests, while maintaining high standards for quality and attention to detailExcellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate status, issues, and risks with senior leadershipWhat You Will Work OnA typical day/week will consist of regular engagement with business partners to understand SG&A initiatives so that you can apply that knowledge in preparation for period-end close activities, including preparing journal entries, accruals, and analytic reviews. In addition, you will be responsible for:Participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual operating results.Ensure policy and process governance with controls related to SG&A spend and accrued liabilities.Proactive engagement with business partners to clearly and concisely communicate the financial implications of SG&A spend, including judgmental accounting conclusions.Drive continuous improvement through collaboration with our managed service provider, finance and business partners to drive greater efficiency and effectiveness of accounting processes and financial reporting.We offer a number of accommodations to complete our interview process including screen readers, sign language interpreters, accessible and single location for in-person interviews, closed captioning, and other reasonable modifications as needed.
