A Senior Business Analyst plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between business objectives and IT solutions, ensuring that business needs are accurately translated into effective system requirements and functional specifications. This role often requires leadership in driving project success, managing stakeholders, and analyzing business operations to improve efficiency.Key ResponsibilitiesThe ideal candidate will have a strong background in business analysis, process improvement, and requirements management, with the ability to interact with stakeholders across various levels of the organization. As a Senior Business Analyst, you will lead initiatives to identify business needs, define solutions, and facilitate change management processes to deliver effective business solutions.Requirements Gathering and Analysis:Lead the elicitation and documentation of detailed business requirements from stakeholders.Analyze and assess business processes, systems, and data to identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions.Stakeholder Engagement:Serve as a liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams to ensure clear understanding of requirements and objectives.Facilitate communication and collaboration between cross-functional teams, including IT, operations, and management.Process Improvement:Assess current business processes and workflows, identifying inefficiencies and recommending enhancements.Lead efforts in business process reengineering and continuous improvement to streamline operations.Project Management Support:Assist in the planning, coordination, and execution of projects by ensuring that business requirements are aligned with project objectives.Support project managers by providing timely and accurate requirements documentation, status updates, and risk assessments.Solution Design and Validation:Work with solution architects and technical teams to design and validate solutions that align with business needs and system capabilities.Mentoring and Leadership:Provide mentorship and guidance to junior business analysts and other team members, helping them develop their skills and grow professionally.Lead by example in adopting best practices and maintaining high standards for documentation, communication, and analysis.Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Business Analysis, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field. A relevant postgraduate qualification or certification (e.g. CBAP, PMI-PBA, or similar) will be advantageous.PowerBI exposure is a must.Minimum of 8 years’ experience as a Business Analyst, with proven success in leading business analysis or process improvement initiatives within financial services, technology, or consulting environments.Proficiency in business analysis tools and techniques (e.g. process mapping, data analysis, use cases, workflow diagrams).Working knowledge of project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Project.Solid understanding of systems design, functional specifications, and requirements documentation.Experience supporting User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and collaborating with cross-functional technical teams.Job Location: Sandton Before applying, please ensure that you meet the minimum requirements.
