Senior Project Manager - Hyperscale Data Centres (Northern Europe)Locations: Dublin (Ireland), Copenhagen (Denmark), Gävle (Sweden), Farciennes (Belgium), Helsinki (Finland)Relocation & visa sponsorship available. Expat tax schemes may apply, subject to eligibility.We are supporting a global construction consultancy that delivers some of the largest and most complex hyperscale data centres in Europe. They are hiring experienced Senior Project Managers to lead major programmes in Copenhagen, Gävle, Farciennes, Helsinki and Dublin. You will join highly experienced, culturally diverse project teams and take real ownership for delivery, with strong support for your long term career development.The opportunityIn this role you will:Act as the client facing Senior Project Manager on large new build and expansion data centre projects, providing visible leadership on site and ensuring safe working practices at all timesLead project start up activities, including onboarding the general contractor and key vendors, defining roles and responsibilities, and setting project cadence, governance and reporting structuresOwn the full project lifecycle across design coordination, construction, commissioning, IST and handover, ensuring quality, schedule and cost are controlled throughoutManage the interface between the client, consultants, GC and specialist roles such as Commissioning, Integration, OFCI and Energy Marshal, keeping delivery aligned and avoiding unnecessary escalationImplement and improve project procedures and controls covering risk, scope, quality, procurement, schedule, cost and change, with a strong focus on proactive risk mitigationCoordinate snagging, quality inspections and defect close out, ensuring QA/QC plans are in place, monitored and continuously improvedLead and attend key meetings, validate contractor schedules, challenge assumptions where needed and agree mitigation plans for any slippage or constraintsProduce clear weekly and monthly reports, run risk reviews and communicate status, risks and issues concisely to senior internal and client stakeholdersWhat you bringWe would like to hear from you if you:Have circa 15 years experience in construction or project management, with a strong track record on high value, complex projectsHave delivered multiple large data centre or mission critical projects as the primary Project Manager, or can demonstrate highly relevant experience on similar technically complex facilitiesHold a degree in engineering, construction management or a related discipline, or equivalent experienceBring solid experience across:Client side project leadershipRisk management and risk registersQA/QC and onsite quality processesSafety, permits and site controlsChange management and commercial awarenessAre an excellent communicator, able to build strong relationships with client stakeholders, consultants and contractors and handle challenging conversations professionallyAre willing to be based full time onsite in one of Copenhagen, Gävle, Farciennes, Helsinki or Dublin, with occasional travel as requiredExperience on hyperscale data centres is a strong advantage.
