Senior Data Analyst - Daily Rate Contract, 6-12 Months initiallyJoin a leading Education Institution modernising its analytics capability. You will design robust dimensional data models, build Azure-native pipelines, and turn complex requirements into clear, actionable insights.What you will do:Own the end-to-end data modelling layer (star/snowflake), semantic models and datasets that power enterprise reporting and self-service analyticsAnalyse a legacy environment and define future-state information and data models for an Azure platform, documenting with Lucidchart (or similar)Build and automate ELT pipelines using Azure Data Factory and Databricks (SQL and Python), with Git-based DevOps and version control for notebooksDeliver performant Power BI dashboards and reports, including modelling, DAX, usability and performance tuningImplement and maintain data access controls (e.g. RLS/OLS in Power BI) to ensure secure, appropriate accessTranslate stakeholder questions into analysis, models and recommendations that inform decisionsContribute to best-practice documentation, testing, data quality and continuous improvementWhat you will bring:Proven experience as a data analyst or analytics engineer in modern cloud environmentsDeep dimensional data modelling expertise and ability to design scalable, well-governed modelsAdvanced Power BI skills across modelling, DAX, visualisation and deployment pipelinesHands-on Azure: Data Factory, Databricks (Delta Lake, notebooks) and Git/DevOpsExcellent SQL, plus Python for transformations and analysisStrong communication skills with the ability to engage non-technical stakeholdersDesired Experience:Experience in higher education, people/HR, research or operational data domainsWhy this role:Shape an Azure-first analytics capability at scale with real impact in a mission-driven environmentCollaborative team, modern tooling and scope to set standards that stickFlexible working arrangements - 3 days in office - 2 WFHLocation: Melbourne South-EastRate: $900p/d-$975p/d How to apply: Apply to this advert or get in touch at Jonny.Church@pra.com.au
