Ideally, you are a good editor for a tech publication.What You’ll DoYou will be working as part of the Infobip/Netokracija/Shiftmag Developer content team, working primarity on our developer magazine Shiftmag and tech magazine Netokracija, as well as other tech content projects. Either as an Individual reporter and/or Editor. You’ll be part of the global developer content team of Croatia’s first unicorn, based in Croatia and Serbia. You don’t need to write technical tutorials, but you can talk to technical founders as well as developers about their projects, whether they are building an AI agent, open source project or are great leaders of their tech teams. We expect tech journalists, editors, content creators and developers who are pivoting to writing to apply for this role. What Makes You a Strong FitExcellent writing and reporting skills based on experience in tech media, tech blogs or your own content creation. You go from an interesting topic to outline and writing, as well as publishing great articles, interviews, blog posts.You care about authorship and original content, making your best effort to publish the the best content first (exclusives!). Even when you use AI to help speed up your writing process, you don’t generate AI slop.You’re a team player, who can work with the rest of the editorial team as well as editors in order to create the best content. You easily ideate with others, collaborate on articles, share credit and support colleagues – as well as ask when you need support.Eager to learn and get feedback in the ever-changing media and content creation landscape we are experiencing thanks to AI tools.Following the industry and what’s trending in tech is second nature to you. Whether it’s through podcasts, Reddit or newsletters, you stay on top of what’s going on in the tech, developer and AI industry – and you like getting to know the players involved.Ownership over your content in terms of going from talking with an expert of a topic, to writing it, prepairing it’s title and working with the rest of the team to get it published ASAP. Excellent written English. Nice To Have QualificationsEditorial experience with tech or developer media and/or blogs, whether you had a dedicated editorial team or edited content written by part-time writers (internal or external) – and managed their writing. Better yet – you’ve managed budgets or other resources to get things published.Experience or willingness to work on audio (podcast) and video (YouTube) content and will gladly be part of the Netokracija Podcast or Shiftmag videos.Tracking the results of your work and improving it is something you actually like. You might not be the best with numbers and don’t have a Google Analytics certificate, but you will work to achieve your goals and OKRs. Not being a “solo over team” type - If you don’t play as part of the team, sharing your experience and network as part of the job, but focus on what you’ve done… Skip this job, feel free to go freelancing.Not publishing “whatever just to publish” - We have gotten here by focusing on the quality of content. We don’t just publish press releases or today – AI slop – and be happy we met our quota. We talk to people and always publish the best content we can at that moment in time.Don’t have an (informed) opinion - If you want to just regurgitate facts like an LLM, this is not the job for you.
