Work Location: WorldwideProject/ Vessel: KhankendiJob SummaryAs a Dive System Technician specializing in mechanical systems, Candidate should be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical components and systems within dive equipment. Working primarily with underwater life support systems, will play a crucial role in ensuring the functionality and safety of diving apparatus. This position involves a combination of technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards.ResponsibilitiesFull Understanding Of Diver Reclaim – IncludesBe able to run up the systemFault find any problems during diving operationsMaintenance and repair of any mechanical parts of the reclaim systemMaintenance of the Gas booster compressors including strip down and be able to fully rebuild and set up as per manualMaintain reclaim parts and have a good understanding of the equipment inside the SDCBe able to set up the reclaim inside the SDC and be able to fault find any issues.Be able to service and repair any valves on the reclaim compressor.Gas Transfer compressors – CompareFault find any problems during diving operationsMaintenance of the compressors including strip down and be able to fully rebuild and set up as per manualBe able to service and repair any valves on the compressorFull knowledge of the filtration systemBe able to conduct gas purity testingPipeworkBe able to make new pipework and installKnowledge on how to clean pipework (O2 Clean)Be able to pressure test any pipework and hosesHave good understanding on procedures of making new hoses up (Gas and Fluid)Valves and Regulators Maintenance – various – Cleaning, Maintenance, service, repair and settingTescom RegulatorsBack Pressure regulatorsBall ValvesNeedle valvesPressure Relief ValvesCheck ValvesPilot regulatorsDiving Helmets, Band Masks and BibsBe able to Fault find and repair any issuesFull service on all the above with correct training certification (JFD)Capable of keeping maintenance records on all the aboveKnowledge of how to clean all the above correctly (O2 Clean)PumpsFull understanding of Haskels High pressure pumpsAble to strip, service, rebuild and set up of Haskel pumpsWater Pumps ( Air Driven )Launch And RecoveryCapable of launch and recovery of the diving systemGood knowledge of the emergency recovery proceduresBe capable of carrying out Load testingMaintain all parts of the system including winches, sheeves and Load limiters (And setting up)Able to pressure test Main umbilicals and repair any Hose ends (Cortland Fibron)Capable of launching SPHLs and good knowledge of proceduresRefrigerationGood Knowledge of refrigeration and how the system worksCapable of servicing and maintenance of the systemAble to recover Freon Gas safelyAble to add gas to the system correctlyIMCAFully compliant with IMCA D023, D024, D018 and IMCA D063Pressure Vessels and Gas CylindersMaintain and inspectionKnowledge of cleanliness (O2 Clean)Pressure testingGeneralCompliant with Amos or other maintenance programsBe able to carry out FMEA TrialsBe able to assist with IMCA AuditsBe able to assist with DNV surveys.Good knowledge of Diving system with at the min 300 actual Diving days as a Tech (To be shown In Technicians Log Book)RequirementsExperience as Saturation Dive TechnicianMinimum 5 years of experience in position
