Senior GAAP Accountant

The GAAP Accountant will provide timely delivery of periodic GAAP related activities, tax reporting and account reconciliations.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare financial statements in accordance with Swiss Code of Obligations, German GAAP, and US GAAP (annual basis).Support statutory, internal, and tax audits.Prepare statistical returns for Germany, Switzerland, UK, and US entities.Manage direct and indirect tax preparation.Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and plausibility checks.Revenue RecognitionOversee fixed assets, prepayments, accruals, and general ledger activities.FX revaluationsIntercompany cost centre recharges; Manage ICO reconciliationsEnsure compliance with SOX procedures, maintaining documentation and evidence for key controls.Optimise internal processes and undertake additional duties as assign.Knowledge And SkillsStrong understanding of accounting theory3+ years accounting/finance experience; CPA a plus, but not requiredExcellent English skills, German is a plusHighly detail oriented and organized in workAbility to meet assigned deadlinesExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to act and operate independentlyHigh Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications; ERP experience would be an assetAbility to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external parties to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and resultsEducation And ExperienceBA degree in Accounting/Business; plus, three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceAMETEK, Inc. is a leading global provider of industrial technology solutions serving a diverse set of attractive niche markets with annual sales over $7.0 billion.AMETEK is committed to making a safer, sustainable, and more productive world a reality.
