Our platform provides customers with a unique and seamless shopping experience anytime, anywhere.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site role located in Markham, ON, for a Senior Human Resources Generalist. The role involves overseeing HR policies and management, administering employee benefits, and supporting the overall employee experience. Key responsibilities include implementing HR strategies, managing benefits programs, ensuring policy compliance, and serving as a point of contact for HR-related inquiries. The role requires collaboration with other departments and leadership to drive HR efficiency and support organizational goals.Key Responsibilities1. Recruitment & OnboardingWork closely with hiring managers to understand headcount needs and develop recruitment plans.Post job ads, screen résumés, arrange interviews, conduct reference checks, and manage offers.Handle new hire onboarding, including employment contracts, documentation, and personnel files.Maintain and update job descriptions and role responsibilities in line with business needs.2. Payroll & AttendanceVerify employee attendance, leave records, and other payroll-related data to ensure accurate and timely payroll.Maintain up-to-date employee records, including salary, vacation, and benefits information.Liaise with external payroll provider (Payworks) and manage statutory remittances (WSIB, EHT, CPP, EI, etc.).Support year-end tax reporting and ensure payroll compliance.3. Performance Management & KPIsAssist in developing and tracking departmental KPIs and performance metrics.Collect and analyze performance data and provide recommendations on rewards, corrective actions, and workforce optimization.Help promote a performance-driven, results-oriented company culture.4. HR Policy & ComplianceAssist in developing, updating, and implementing HR policies, procedures, and workflows.Ensure all HR practices comply with Ontario labour laws and the Employment Standards Act (ESA).Support employee relations, including conflict resolution and issue escalation/mediation where needed.Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and company information at all times.Qualifications• College diploma or higher, preferably in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.• Minimum 3 years of HR experience in Canada (experience in recruitment and payroll is an asset).• Solid understanding of Ontario employment legislation (ESA), compensation, and benefits.• Proficient in MS Office and payroll systems (e.g., Payworks).• HR designation (CHRP / CHRL) is an asset.• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and a strong sense of responsibility; able to work under pressure.
