Employment Type: Full Time – Exempt (June 2026)Position Classification: Health Manager Level 4Remuneration: $147,653.00 - $175,917.00 per annum plus 12% superannuation and leave loading (salary equivalent to experience)Hours Per Week: 38Requisition ID: REQ620057Senior Instructional DesignerAn exciting opportunity exists to join the Health Education and Training Institute (HETI) as a Senior Instructional Designer, in the Professional Practice Interprofessional Collaboration (PPIC) Portfolio.The Senior Instructional Designer supports the Professional Practice and Interprofessional Collaboration (PPIC) portfolio within the Health Education and Training Institute (HETI) to develop digital learning products to enable learners in the NSW Health workforce to acquire knowledge, skills and competencies that improve performance.The Senior Instructional Designer works in close collaboration with project teams to develop and design interactive digital learning products to meet learning outcomes and the performance needs of the NSW Health workforce. This role undertakes scoping of learning needs in consultation with subject matter experts and performs the detailed instructional design of each learning solution. The role works closely with the District HETI Digital Learning Experience Design team to provide expert advice on best practice digital learning methods to develop fit-for-purpose, contemporary learning solutions.The role will enable HETI to deliver world class education and training which supports improved health outcomes across NSW. Through forward thinking, evidence-based learning design, this role will facilitate the development of contemporary education that supports the full range of roles across the NSW public health system.Where you'll be workingThe role is based in Sydney at 1 Reserve Road, St Leonards in a modern, purpose-built 5 star rated green campus that is well serviced by public transport and access to public parking. Discuss the instructional design principles and creative strategies you applied to make the learning effective, engaging, and relevant to the target audience. Explain how you judged the quality of your design over the course of the project.Please email your Cover Letter and current Resume to Trish Wilkinson, ensuring to submit an online application VIA the Application Link.Selection CriteriaDemonstrated extensive instructional/learning design experience in creating a range of interactive, self-paced digital learning products.Proven advanced writing and composition skills for digital learning.Proven experience creating learning design strategy documentation, content planning, storyboards/wireframing, design briefs and instructional material to a high quality.Highly developed interpersonal skills and proven experience working with clients and stakeholder groups / subject matter experts (SME) over the course of a learning project.Experience working with designers, developers, Quality and Assurance testing over a project lifecycle.Experience working in a team environment and with experience in guiding non eLearning practitioners in the design of complex learning solutions.Demonstrated high level project management skills with demonstrated experience managing multiple projects in parallel.Need more information?
