Senior Investment Analyst - Hedge FundsSingle Family OfficeLondonOur client is a single family office seeking a Senior Investment Analyst to join its hedge fund research team. The firm manages over 1bn AUM through a concentrated portfolio of external managers across hedge funds and specialist strategies.Role OverviewAs part of the hedge fund research team, you will take responsibility for sourcing, analysing and monitoring hedge fund managers and underlying strategies. You will contribute to both quantitative and qualitative due diligence, prepare investment materials for decision makers and begin to lead elements of the research process. This role offers the opportunity to mentor junior analysts and play a meaningful role in shaping research frameworks, tools and processes within a lean investment team.Key responsibilitiesSource, screen and conduct due diligence on hedge fund managers and strategiesAnalyse performance drivers, risk and return characteristics, liquidity and exposuresBuild and maintain analytics including returns, risk attribution, drawdowns and correlationPrepare investment memos and research reports for the investment committeeAttend manager meetings and global conferencesMonitor existing allocations, flag issues and drive review agendasCollaborate with portfolio management, operations, risk and complianceImprove research tools and dashboards and help build industry networksMentor junior team members and ensure research output qualityWhat we are looking for6 to 10 years of experience with at least 5 years in hedge fund or multi manager researchStrong analytical capability with excellent written communication skillsCurious, independent thinker who thrives in a lean team environment and enjoys ownership
