Job OverviewWe are seeking a Senior Litigation Paralegal with a minimum of five (5) years of complex litigation experience (Plaintiff/Defense), specifically in high-exposure cases such as medical malpractice, premises liability, negligent security, wrongful death, or other catastrophic injury matters. In this pivotal role, you will support complex litigation cases through all phases of the litigation process. Your expertise in legal research, document management, and case coordination will be essential in ensuring efficient case progression and compliance.ResponsibilitiesManage and organize large volumes of case documents, medical records, and discovery materials.Draft, proofread, and finalize pleadings, discovery requests/responses, subpoenas, and correspondence.Assist attorneys with case investigation, including obtaining and summarizing medical records, police reports, and witness statements.Prepare and maintain case chronologies, deposition summaries, and trial notebooks.Coordinate expert retention, including document production, scheduling, and communication with experts and vendors.Perform in-depth legal and factual research using court records, public databases, and online research tools.Manage docketing and calendaring of case deadlines, hearings, depositions, and trial dates.Assist in trial preparation and provide on-site trial support, including exhibit management, witness coordination, and trial technology setup.Communicate professionally with clients, witnesses, opposing counsel, and court personnel.Support attorneys with case budgeting, file organization, and efficient case workflow management.QualificationsBachelor’s degree and/or Paralegal Certification from an ABA-approved program.Minimum of 5 years of litigation experience, with an emphasis on complex tort or medical malpractice litigation.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and case management/document management software (e.g., TrialDirector, Relativity, Filevine, Clio, iManage, or comparable systems).Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures in both state and federal courts, including e-filing and local court rules.Strong knowledge of legal research tools such as Westlaw and LexisNexis.Proficiency in document review techniques and familiarity with document management systems for effective file organization.Demonstrated project management capabilities including tracking deadlines and coordinating logistics for litigation activities.Strong proofreading skills to ensure accuracy in all legal documents and communications.Compensation & BenefitsCompetitive salary commensurate with experience.Performance-based bonuses.Comprehensive benefits package.Paid time off.Hybrid/work-from-home flexibility.
