You’ll guide how we partner with vendors, ensure value for money, champion social procurement and build a service-oriented team that supports our diverse operations.In This Role, You WillShape and deliver procurement strategy, ensuring best practice and alignment with standards.Oversee major procurement, tendering and contract administration to ensure value and accountability.Manage financial performance and risk, including oversight of a $650k FY26 budget.Build strong partnerships with senior leaders to understand needs and deliver practical procurement solutions.Represent Uniting professionally with contractors, service providers, funding bodies, legal advisors and other key partnersChampion Social Procurement by supporting First Nations businesses, social enterprises and marginalised communities, and reducing environmental and modern slavery risks.This role is ideal for a strategic, collaborative leader who can balance big-picture thinking with hands-on delivery to ensure Uniting achieves high-value, ethical and impactful procurement outcomes.Benefits Of Working At UnitingMake a meaningful impact, your procurement leadership directly supports services that change lives across Victoria and Tasmania.Strategic influence, working closely with senior leaders to shape how we engage suppliers, champion social procurement, and deliver value for money.Competitive remuneration ($165K + super) + salary packaging benefits (up to ~$15,900 tax-free), + additional packaging for meals and entertainment.Flexible working options, including hybrid arrangements, to support balance and wellbeing.Additional leave benefits such as paid parental leave, purchased leave and opt in or out of public holidays and be respected for your unique background.Your skills and experienceSignificant experience leading procurement and contract management functions within a complex organisation.Experience partnering with senior leaders and proven ability to build strong relationships, navigate diverse stakeholder needs and influence without direct authority.Demonstrated expertise in contract management, including complex tenders, commercial negotiations and (ideally) government funding contracts.Strong commercial acumen with the ability to analyse risk, prepare business cases and contribute to operational and capital budgeting.Well-developed project management capability, able to scope, plan and deliver initiatives effectively.Tertiary qualifications (or equivalent) in business, procurement, supply chain, commerce or law; professional membership (WorldCC or CIPSA) is highly regardedView the position description here .How To ApplyClick APPLY to submit your interest, and we’ll get in touch shortly.
